The recall involves 30,931 units of the 2024 Xiaomi SU7 Standard Edition electric vehicle, produced between February 6, 2024, and November 26, 2024.

The recall was initiated due to a software strategy issue that may cause timing synchronization anomalies, potentially affecting the smart parking assist function's ability to detect static obstacles, increasing the risk of scratches or collisions, thus posing a safety hazard.
Xiaomi Auto Technology Co., Ltd. will offer free software upgrades through over-the-air (OTA) technology to all affected vehicles to eliminate the safety risk.
Official data shows that Xiaomi SU7 deliveries exceeded 130,000 units in 2024, successfully meeting the annual delivery target. In 2025, Xiaomi Auto aims to reach a target of 300,000 units, with its second model, the YU7, set to be launched in the middle of the year.
